How I Can Help Organize Your Classroom? FAQ

ORGANIZING WITH STUDENTS

Does your child need help with organizing their materials, papers, space, or time?

Students often are very apt in their school work, but sometimes they need some assistance with organizing themselves. I believe that becoming more organized can guide students toward becoming their personal best. When organizing with students, I always focus on a caring, helpful attitude to put them at ease. I can work with students to:

  • Identify students’ (and/or parents’) main organizational concerns
  • Determine “What’s working?” and “What’s not Working?”
  • Develop a clear organizational plan for increased academic success
  • Determine preferred methods of organizing/filing
  • Guide students through de-cluttering sessions
  • Provide maintenance sessions as needed

One of my specialties is working with students. Drawing from my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education, along with my experience of over 17 years as an educator, I see firsthand the “how’s” and “why’s” of disorganization in the classroom. Many times, I’ve found that due mostly to time constraints, organization of materials is a very common problem, and can impact students’ education in a variety of negative ways. I believe it is one of the most important elements and building blocks of a student’s success.
